The 200-ton Manitowoc crane with 40,000-pound clam bucket holds seven
cubic yards of material. Dredge Barge is used to dig a 25-foot-deep trench
on the floor of Boulder Bay to house the aqueduct as well as excavate a
portion of the bay for the power delivery crossing. |

Lake Mead Constructors crew members complete a shift on new water supply
route for the Las Vegas Valley. There are about two dozen people working
in the tunnel. Crews are recruited from a variety of specialities ranging
from mining to subway construction to off-shore oil drilling. |
